We're evaluating Starter for 6...

To assess its impact, Social Value Lab have conducted an external evaluation of Starter for 6.

Past participants of the programme were asked to complete a questionnaire. This also offered them an opportunity to make a short pitch for funding to be used for the business they developed on the programme. We received feedback from 104 of the past participants.

We are pleased to announce that the awardees of this funding are Innes Shaheen of Word Maker Ltd, Mhairi Towler of Vivomotion, Lynne Wilson of Friends of Wilson Architectural Acoustic Panels and Sebastian Lexer of INCALCANDO.

Two of the awardees have not continued with their business developed on Starter for 6. We were therefore happy to make donations to charities of their choosing. Cheques are on the way to Brixton Soup Kitchen on behalf of Bill Wilson and to People's Dispensary for Sick Animals (PDSA) on behalf of Peter Ward.

Congratulations and thank you to all who contributed to the evaluation of the Starter for 6 programme.

A full report is expected in Spring 2016 and we hope to return in autumn with a new start-up programme for the Scottish creative industries.
