1. Music Week

A definitive diary of key music industry networking events occurring during the year can be accessed through their trade publication website. For a taste of listed events see the Top 5 UK Music Industry Events.

2. The Unsigned Guide

This is an excellent comprehensive directory of everything to do with the music industry – in their words 'Your A-Z of the UK music business'. You can search and manage contacts for managers, legal services, media, labels, producers, distributers, etc. It comes with glowing testimonials from practitioners and organisations spanning the entire UK music industry. Subscriptions can be monthly, quarterly or annually. 

3. Clowdy

A Manchester-based online media sharing platform that includes music, film and photographs. It has no upload limits and encourages quality creative content regardless of format. A Clowd is a digital store of your song, video, photo or file. Clowdy also allows users to tag and credit contributors to their creative project. It has been described as the LinkedIn of the creative industries, winning the UK Creative Business Cup in July 2014.

4. The Association of Independent Music (AIM)

Promotes the UK's independent music sector globally and provides services to members, enabling them to grow, grasp new opportunities and break into new markets. It represents over 800 members, ranging from global, respected labels to small start-ups and individual artists. It offers a range of resources including downloadable e-books, the latest independent charts, the AIM Journal and an archive of recent press releases. In the Members' Directory you can find basic details and links to all AIM members. The Suppliers' Database includes details of Friends of AIM plus other companies offering a range of services to the sector. In the Document Library, you can search their impressive range of downloadable resources (please note, many are for members only).

5. Born To Be Wide

Stages music business seminars, showcases and bespoke talks. They also host regular social evenings with discussion panels of key music industry figures. Subjects covered have included: Releasing Music, Promoting Gigs, A&R, Music PR, Radio, Music Photography, Music Management, Booking Agents and Stage Craft. Born To Be Wide also hosts Wide Days, an annual two-day convention and showcase in Edinburgh and the Off The Record series of youth events.
