Fashion Foundry will help fashion and textiles designers develop a deeper understanding of industry practices, strengthen their skills to build viable business models and establish routes into luxury markets.
Fashion Foundry will work out of South Block, a new four storey studio complex in the heart of Glasgow's Merchant City.
Produced and delivered by Fiona Chautard with input from Deryck Walker and support from Scottish Enterprise's national textiles team, Fashion Foundry consists of two elements: business incubator support accessed through a competitve application process and a series of industry events open to the wider designer fashion and textiles community.
Led by Cultural Enterprise Office in association with Wasps Studios, Fashion Foundry is funded by Creative Scotland, with additional support from Scottish Enterprise.

The business incubator support will offer ten designers the chance to develop their business within a dynamic peer group from September 2012 until March 2014. Studio residence and non-residence places are available to suit the different business development needs and circumstances of individual applicants.
Applications for Fashion Foundry 2012 are now closed.
