David Smith

David is full of new ideas and can inspire others to help him deliver them. As a former theatre and film producer in the 90s, he found Suspect Culture Theatre company with David Greig and Graham Eatough. 

David was Managing Director of the award winning film company Broken Spectre which produced the BAFTA feature film 'Shell' written and directed by Scott Graham. Until November 2016, he chaired the board of The Stove Network in Dumfries, one of Scotland's newest revenue-funded organisations.

As Creative Producer, David develops and launches new programmes to support the creative industries such as Starter for 6 and Flourish, and provides support for our sector-specific programme, Fashion Foundry.
