Lowri Potts

Biography

Lowri is a freelance writer with varied experience in broadcast television, independent film and other media including photography. She has also worked widely in the voluntary sector, initiating reading and creative writing clubs for young people.

From 1989-1993, she established and administered the Scottish office of the Producers Alliance for Cinema and Television (PACT) and delivered several producer training courses and business development seminars for Scottish Screen. After completing two Scottish employment surveys for Skillset, she curated interactive digital exhibits for three millennium science centres. From 2004-2006 she was the first regional administrator for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), promoting services and devising events for Scottish-based members.

She joined Cultural Enterprise Office in 2005. From 2006 she also co-managed the NESTA Ideasmart business innovation programme.

Lowri continues to be involved in a variety of writing projects, and you can read about her latest ventures here. She co-founded Spinning Pizza Arts in 2014, to encourage and inspire reading through plays in libraries.

Lowri is Premier Adviser accredited and a qualified RD1st coach.
