DYP

Creative freelancers establishing their practice

Design Your Practice

Design Your Practice (DYP) is a programme which allows creative freelancers to establish their practice and proactively take control of their future.

A portfolio career is now a common prospect for new creative graduates as the labour market becomes more flexible. To take advantage of this opportunity you need certain skills to proactively seek out opportunities to develop your career and practice. You also need an entrepreneurial and business approach to make sure you manage all aspects of your self-employment.

The programme covers costing and pricing your work, marketing your services, planning and business structures and finance and administration. It is designed with creatives in mind and is visually driven and thoughtfully designed.

'Design your Practice is ideal for the budding creative entrepreneur getting ready take on the world as a freelancer.'

Design Your Practice will help you earn more, focus your skills and talent, avoid costly mistakes, find new friends and collaborators, manage your time and energy and give you a grounding in business which will let your creative practice flourish and grow.

The programme costs £160.00 to take part. The next session will begin on Monday 29 October for the Glasgow sessions and Tuesday 30 October for the Perth sessions and run for eight consecutive weeks, 6pm - 8pm.

We will be able to announce the facilitators for Glasgow and Perth very soon.

Interested? Then apply now! If you have any questions please email them to Design Your Practice.
