What is mentoring?
Mentoring is ‘a process of learning in which a usually more experienced person (the mentor) passes on know–how to someone less experienced (the mentee).Typically it will take place at a transitional or critical time in the mentee’s life when this type of support can be most beneficial.’* We believe that the process of mentoring is empowering for businesses and enables them to work towards their full potential.

What kind of businesses are you looking for?
Flourish mentoring supports founders and owners of small creative businesses who have been trading for at least two years. They have an established product or service and are specialist in their sector however they require some guidance on building a sustainable future. We have found that post start-up phase, businesses require new perspective. Read about the businesses we have previously mentored. You must also meet our criteria to be eligible.
What if I am not working full time in my business?
So long as you are trading and spending significant time on your business, we will consider your application. You should have the objective to make your business full time.
What if I am not suited to any of the Flourish mentors?
We assess all applications based on their individual needs and will carry over to future rounds should we believe they are better matched to alternative mentors on the programme.
How high does my turnover need to be?
You should be earning enough to make a living wage, or at least contributing to this. Please note we only support micro businesses with a turnover of less than £1.6 million.
