1. Fashion Industry Guide

A really useful free online guide produced by the British Library, listing free resources on the UK fashion industry, including business support, market research, trade publications and newsletters, directories and web resources.

2. British Fashion Council (BFC)  

A not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote the British fashion industry and its designer businesses by harnessing and sharing collective knowledge, experience and resources of the sector. Based in London.

3. Drapers

Clothing trade magazine and website which features current industry information and trends relating to the fashion and apparel industry. 

4. UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT)

Guides and advises its members on all aspects of running a business and supplying clothing and knitwear to the global marketplace. Provides a monthly newsletter and runs a series of seminars throughout the year. 

5. Make Works

A curated directory of makers, manufacturers, material suppliers and factories all operating in Scotland. A fantastic resource for designers and makers.
