Arpita is an established photographic artist and educator based in Scotland. Alongside her artistic practice, Arpita also works as a commercial photographer through her business Anokha Photography. She is also co-founder of Fòcas Scotland, a new photography initiative that supports local and international emerging photography.
Arpita can share her expertise on networking and promoting your work to industry professionals, and also offer advice on setting up and sustaining your creative business. With years of experience working in participatory settings she can also support to artists interested in working in community contexts.
James Pfaff has decades long experience of both artistic and commercial photography. After leaving Glasgow he worked in Hamburg, Germany and latterly in London for a wide range of clients mainly from the sectors of advertising and design. In 2016, James published his first artist book Alex & Me with the Italian publisher Danilo Montanari.
Friendly and approachable, James has experience in the following areas: portfolio and promotional advice, copyright issues, fee structures, licensing, working with an agent and invoicing. He also has a good working knowledge of the photo book world and how to survive in this competitive business.
BigBadLlama is the brand of self-taught photographer and creative entrepreneur Anthony Webster. Having travelled the globe as a humanitarian-aid worker for several years developing his love for people and portraiture, Anthony settled into his role as fashion photographer upon returning to the UK. With a style that blends high-fashion with commercial, Anthony has shot all over the world from New York Fashion week to drag queens in LA. His recent project, The Male Body Handbook, aired as a 6 part short series on ALL4 as well as gaining online acclaim.
Anthony prides himself on being self-taught, working with what he has and believes that all artists have something to contribute to the growing market with his own work transitioning into video.
