Andy Campbell

Biography

Andy is co-founder and director of Dress for the Weather, which was established in 2009 with Matt McKenna. The practice work on a range of architectural and public art work with a strong research agenda which informs each project.

Andy is a chartered architect and currently runs a range of projects which including an arts and heritage refurbishment for a Category B listed building as well as a gallery, studio and entertainment venue in Glasgow. The practice enjoy collaborating with other creative practices – an area that Andy is especially interested in exploring through public art and architectural work.

The research undertaken by the practice has seen Andy develop a series of mapping and typology studies as well as delivering educational workshops for people of all ages with this work very much focused on the accessibility of design and architecture.

Andy studied at University of Strathclyde and is now employed there as a First Year Tutor of Architectural Studies. He has delivered guest lectures at Strathclyde and The Glasgow School of Art. His previous employment at NORD and studioKAP has given him an excellent background in architectural design which is now a great asset to Dress for the Weather.
