Sarah is Founding Director of Brazen Studios. She has an award-winning approach to design and experience in developing creative, commercial collections. It's her mission to blend design and originality with strategy and business awareness.
Sarah graduated in Jewellery and Silversmithing at the GSA in 2003, during which time she won several awards for design and in her final year was awarded the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for Design and Business. This was the catalyst that made Sarah take the conscious decision to side-step industry experience in favour of developing her business model, Brazen Studios. In the process of starting and developing the business, Sarah secured one of the first NESTA Pioneer Awards. The unique business model opened in December 2004 and since then has continued to evolve and diversify.
Brazen has attracted the attention from the likes of American and Italian Vogue, MTV, In-Style and Elle, while Sarah herself has been invited to speak at the Scottish Government, leading UK art organisations and business start-up conferences. In 2006, to celebrate the contribution of Women in Enterprise, Sarah was invited to a reception at Buckingham Palace and in 2007 Brazen won Most Stylish Boutique at the Scottish Style Awards. They have since been shortlisted three years running (2010–2013) at the UK Jewellery Awards.
